NewsNovember 18, 2006 Ramp Riot in Ambler, PADriven Bolts took first place in the Vex Division of the Ramp Riot. The team won every match they competed in for the day. They selected Team Overdrive, another homeschooled team as alliance partners and continued to dominate every match. They set a record score of 101 points despite having both alliance robots break during the match.
November 11, 2006 Radnor, PA High SchoolBoth Driven teams had a great time participating in a league scrimmage at RHS. Several teams brought out their early robot designs and we had a chance to test competition strategies and share ideas.
October 21, 2006 - Duel on the Delaware ScrimmageDriven Bolts was fortunate to be able to attend the scrimmage. Good fun, we learned a lot, and we actually managed to get a few pictures up – check them out at our photo page.
September 13, 2006 - The season beginsBoth Driven Nuts (FVC 2158) and Driven Bolts (FVC 2073) are returning for their second year of FVC competition. The teams have been renumbered, got a little rest over the summer, and are ready to begin another season.
May 1, 2006 - National Competition resultsDriven Bolts (FVC 73) and Driven Nuts (FVC 158) successfully competed in the FIRST Vex Challenge National Tournament at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta on April 27 & 28, 2006. After over 70 qualification rounds, Driven Bolts was ranked 5th highest and Driven Nuts 30th highest out of 51 teams. By seeding in the top 8, Driven Bolts had the honor of being one of eight alliance team captains. Driven Bolts picked Driven Nuts as its first alliance partner and one of the teams from the Charter School of Wilmington as its 2nd alliance partner. The Driven Alliance won the first match, but then lost the 2nd & 3rd matches of the quarter final elimination round. |
