Nuts excel at PA Regionals; qualify for World Championship

DRIVEN Nuts had a stellar performance at the Pennsylvania regional competition in Downingtown today. The team performed well all day, seeding 3rd in the qualification matches, finishing as the captain of the tournament’s finalist alliance (with Radnor Robotics), and qualifying for the World Championships by winning the “Robot Skills Challenge,” a subset of the larger alliance competition. The team also won the Build Award for exceptional robot design.

Demo at South Brunswick Library

Driven team members played to a packed house as we demonstrated our robots and explained the FIRST programs to the audience. We spoke to many future robotics engineers of a wide range of ages. There was a lot of interest in FTC and even more in FLL. Many of our visitors had a chance to try one of our four robots, which were kept busy for our four hour session. Several parents asked for information about how to get their schools involved in these programs.
