Driven Nuts was just notified that they have been given a slot at the FVC World Championship. They will be joining Driven Bolts, who already qualified as a member of the winning alliance at the NJ FVC tournament in December.

Driven Nuts 158/2158 had its best showing in team history on Saturday at the Pennsylvania FVC tournament. For the first time, they were seeded in the top eight and they also won an elimination round for the first time. Their robot performed wonderfully. They were 1-0 in practice rounds, 3-1 in qualifying matches, and 3-2 in elimination rounds, a total of 7 wins and 3 losses (a .700 winning percentage – better than every Major League Baseball team last season).

Our robots from last year are getting a lot of attention. Driven Bolts robot, number 73 is featured on page 7 of the FIRST 2006 Annual Report and in one of four photos featured in the 2007 FIRST Championship Event hotel booking website. Driven team members and both robots are also prominent in the FIRST website FVC photo gallery.

Driven Bolts wins the first ever Garden State Rumble competition. After winning all of their preliminary matches, the Bolts came into the Alliance Selection process in fourth place. They again formed an alliance with Team Overdrive and The Pi-oneers, and together racked up several record-setting rounds (hitting 127 points in one match) to win the competition. The Bolts also won the "Name the Event" contest, coming away with a new Vex kit as well as the first place trophy.
